![]() You can turn it off by moving the slider, or you can simply edit the length and save-location of footage that is captured, as well as some additional quality and capture settings if you just want to change what’s being recorded and how. By default, it should be C:UsersusernameVideosCaptures. You can then see the default location where the Game DVR tool will save your screenshots and game clips. Select the Game DVR category at the left side. Here you’ll find the option to turn on or turn off background recording near the middle. Press the Windows logo key + I to launch the Settings app, then click on Gaming. You can use the Game bar option on the first page to disable the game bar feature as well if you want to, but if you’re just here to switch off the DVR function, switch to the Captures page on the left.
